Principles of Leave No Trace Fall 2025

Join us for an engaging and informative Leave No Trace 101 training class hosted by the Mecklenburg County Council Outdoor Ethics Committee. This class covers the 7 Leave No Trace Principles through practical applications and hands on activities.

We will:
• Review the 7 LNT principles, history, and importance
• Review Scouting America's Scouting and Venturing conservation awards and merit badges associated with LNT,
Conservation, and Outdoor Ethics
• Discuss ways to easily incorporate the 7 LNT principles and Outdoor Ethics into your hikes, camping/backpacking
trips, and into your pack or troop meetings
• Provide resources for you to take back to your units
