Good Scout Award Luncheon 2026

About the Luncheon

The Mecklenburg County Council, Scouting America serves more than 6,000 youth and adult volunteers annually. The Good Scout Award Luncheon gives the council the opportunity to recognize a few of the many outstanding youth, adults, and corporate supporters that shine each year. The honorees embody the very best of Scouting dedication and values.

The luncheon is the premier annual fundraising event for the council. We are grateful to our Scouting community who continue to instill values, build character, teach citizenship, and mold leadership in the youth that we are privileged to serve. 

Thank you to all those who give of their time and financial resources to ensure that Scouting remains strong and available for each generation of young people who choose Scouting to experience a program that allows them to grow in confidence and be Prepared, For Life! 

SAVE THE DATE: The 2026 Good Scout Award Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, December 9th at the Le Meridien Hotel in uptown Charlotte. Check-in and fellowship will start at 11:30am. 

We look forward to recognizing youth, adult, and corporate "Good Scouts" nominated and selected during the fall. The luncheon serves as the kickoff for the 2027 Friends of Scouting Campaign.
