Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Does my scout need to attend the entire weekend?

Answer: Yes. The weekend is action packed with training sessions starting at 7:15pm on Friday and running until about 11:35am on Sunday.

 

  1. Will there be a graduation ceremony and can parents, scoutmasters, and advisors attend?

Answer: Yes & Yes. The graduation ceremony will start at approximately 10:45 am on Sunday, and everyone is welcome

 

  1. Do participants need to bring their own food for the weekend?

Answer: Food for the weekend is included in the course; so, there is no need to bring food. Of course, if your son or daughter has food allergies, please review the S.E.A.L.S. Participant Menu document which can be found on the Documents page.

 

  1. If my scout drops from the course, can I get a refund?

Answer: If a scout drops from the course outside of 30 days of the course, a full refund is given. If a scout drops from the course within 30 days of the course, in accordance with council policies, no refund is given. However, a scout from the same unit as that of the dropping scout can be made during within the 30-day window, eliminating the need for a refund.
