Looking for bait and tackle on your way to Camp Grimes?
During a recent trip to Camp Grimes, several members of the MCC Fishing Committee stopped by the Bass Shack, a family owned store in Shelby, NC. It is well stocked with a full line of tackle. They also sell live crickets and worms.
The Bass Shack is located at 2330 Kings Rd. Ext. Shelby, NC 28150. (Phone: 704-487-9996)
Monday- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday. 8 a.m to 4 p.m.
Closed on Sunday.

Rob Wallace Park – Midland
(Located just 5.4 miles from Belk Scout Camp, Rob Wallace park has two great lakes, restrooms, trails and other excellent facilities.)
All three parks have excellent lakes. A North Carolina fishing license is required for persons 16 and older, along with a $2.00 per day or annual permit.
