Welcome to the Etowah District
The Etowah District encompasses the Southeast Charlotte area between Albemarle Road and Providence Road, out to the Matthews and Mint Hill areas.
Etowah District and the Mecklenburg County Council are dedicated to supporting the volunteer Scout leaders and their local Scout units as they provide the programs of the Boy Scouts of America to the youth of this area. Let us know how we can help you.

Our May Roundtable will be a good old fashioned cookout...burgers and all the fixins! It's been a long time since we've seen each other in person, so I can't wait to see you all!
Please join us and forward this invitation to every family in your unit. Roundtable isn't just for district and unit leaders - everyone is welcome, and I'd love to see every unit represented!
Here are all the details:
Date and time: Thursday, May 13 at 6:30PM
Location: Matthews Presbyterian Church, 207 W John St, Matthews, NC 28105
Registration: Through Sunday, May 9 = $5.00 at https://mccscouting.doubleknot.com/event/etowah-district-cookout-and-awards-ceremony/2809085
What you need to bring: A lawn/camp chair - and a mask, if you choose (as of 4/30/21 the outdoor mask mandate has been lifted, and we will be practicing social distancing.)
Please invite all those you nominated for the Godsend Award from your unit - we will be honoring them and we'll have their nametag awards to give!
Packs & Troops - Please make sure that you are logging your Unit's Advancements into Scoutbook. This goes directly to the Scout office so the Advancements are recorded onto the Scout's records. Print out the report and bring it to the Scout office when picking up your Advancements. This would be a back up copy of your report in case something happens to the electronic version.
