Tree Fest - Belk Scout Camp

On Saturday, October 02, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Mecklenburg County Council invites Scouts to participate in Tree Fest at Belk Scout Camp, where Scouts will plant 150 or more trees.  This will be a great opportunity for Scouts to record hours of conservation and community service for rank requirements, especially for Star Scouts working on Life rank.

Each Scout must bring their own work gloves, water bottle, snacks.  If Scouts have these available, they should bring shovels and garden rakes with short, stiff tines (not a leaf rake) for raking soil, compost, and/or mulch.  BSC has some tools but not enough for the expected number of Scouts.  Scouts should mark or label their tools brought from home.

Parents are welcome to attend.

Cost of registration is $1 for the on-line transaction fee.

Maximum number of Scouts is limited to 40.

On-line registration and payment will open by noon of Monday, August 16, 2021 at:
