The Scouter Success Seminar is Mecklenburg County Council’s largest adult training event. Scouter Success Seminar is for all leaders working with youth members and their units.
SSS 2010 provides a wide range of classes for all levels of Scouting. There are classes offered for new or soon to be new leaders, classes for seasoned leaders, and classes for leaders wishing to update their Scouting knowledge or learn something new and different.
Courses include the basic leader training for Cub Scout leaders, Boy Scout leaders and for Venturing Crew advisors. On the Boy Scout level there are several certification courses offered and many courses offered to extend your knowledge and abilities for your Troop. The goal of the SSS training is to provide all adult Scout leaders, from the new Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Crew leader to the most experienced Scout leader, with the tools necessary to Deliver the Promise to every Scout in their pack, troop or crew. This year we are also offering two courses for Boy Scouts – Den Chief Training and Order of the Arrow-Troop Representative Training.

Registration for the event is available at the MCC Scouting Event Registration Site - MyCampDirector. Registration begins on August 13th, 2010 at 5pm. To make registration easier, please have a copy of the SSS 2010 Flyer on hand and read through the registration walk-through found on the registration site. What is MyCampDirector.com?
MyCampDirector.com is an online registration system designed specifically for use by the Boy Scouts of America. MyCampDirector.com allows an individual adult scouter or a unit leader to register on the site and create an individual or unit profile/roster. Once created, the system allows the user to sign up for trainings and other council activities and to register individual scouts as needed.
MyCampDirector.com is for adult scouters only and youth participants will not be allowed to have individual accounts. For more information on the MyCampDirector.com system, visit http://register.mccscouting.org. Before registering it is strongly recommended that you have the SSS event flyer handy. You should also download and review the MCD Walk-Through to familarize yoursefl with the system.
